Maverick was custom built in the 1970's in Lodi, California by Max White. The hull is 1 1/4" thick fibreglass. In October 1992 we bought Maverick in Sausalito, Ca, motored her
down to Pillar Point Harbor in Half Moon Bay, Ca. We moved aboard a leaking wreck and began restoration. Over the years every single solitary thing was taken out and new
put in from basically the hull up. In 1998 we hauled out and spent 44 months in dry dock in Bethel Island at Marine Emporium Boatyard, hard at work, whilst living in an
apartment nearby. In 2002 we splashed again and Paul finished the electrical over the following two years. We completed the restoration ourselves. The interior woodwork
was done by Master Carpenter Tom Arnold and his "gofer" Heidi (although Heidi did plenty of the work as evidenced by the floors which she did herself). Bob & Jeanne Ward, Jorge, & Brad Barker showed true grit with their laborious assistance from time to time!! Tom Jepsen & Dave Beckman helped us design the "impossible" electrical system. Jim Antrim designed the bulbous bow and the keel. Our beautiful and agonizing odyssey is now over and beautiful Maverick is under the loving care of someone else. Thankyou Maverick, for all the life lessons you have taught me. Life goes on whether you want it to or not. Goodbye sweet boat.
Below are a few videos of photos of our many projects, I am putting them up little by little. It will take a few visits to get through them all.
